Light Magnesium Carbonate BP

Light Magnesium Carbonate BP is an inorganic compound having the chemical formula of MgCO₃. It is a common antacid drug widely used in pharma and other sectors. This is a very light weight white colored powder. It is soluble in dilute acids with effervescence and insoluble in water. It comes with the pH level of 9.5 to 10.5 with 5 % aqueous solution. This is widely used in the manufacturing of magnesium metal and basic refractory bricks. In addition, it is also used in fire extinguishing compositions, flooring, fire proofing, cosmetics, dusting powder, etc.

Light Magnesium Carbonate BP is also utilized as filler material, reinforcing agent and colour retention agent in floods. This is available in pure form with no adulteration; hence it is also used in table salt to keep it free flowing. It comes with the shelf-life of 5 years after date of manufacturing. It is free from any Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) and allergens such as Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Milk, Sesame seeds, Peanuts, Treenuts, Soybeans, etc.
